Why treat critical ailments with supplements when ayurveda recommends Panchkarma treatments for the same?

Shaman treatment includes treatment of disease with herbal or herbo-mineral medicines. The basic goal of this is to pacify the aggravated doshas in the body i.e Vat, Pitta and Kaph. But this process has its own limitations. As mentioned in our great 'Samhitas' after doshas are vitiated above certain level they cannot be pacified and are needed to be removed out of the body through 'Shodhan' process.

In general the word 'shodhan' means to purify and that is exactly what is achieved by the 'Shodhan' process. It removes the doshas from the body which are grown in so excess that is cannot be pacified by mere medicines. Panchkarma in Ayurveda is considered as the most powerful tool to remove these excess doshas form the body. As the name suggests 'Panchkarma' means five unique karmas. These are namely Vaman, Virechan, Basti, Nasya and Raktmokshan.

It is said in Ayurveda that with shaman treatment the disease might or might not surface back, but if proper Shodhan is done, it is sure that doshas will be removed from root and reoccurrence would not be there.

Panchkarma helps in detoxifying and rejuvenating body by simple techniques that can be done easily applied in outdoor practice. Failure of contemporary medicines in the prevention of major health burdens force us to revert back for the original detoxifying naturopathy. Panchakarma is an effective therapy in managing autoimmune, neurological, psychiatric and musculo-skeletal diseases of chronic and metabolic origin.
